(CBS4) – A mother who was using Facebook when her 20-month-old daughter was hit by a van learned her punishment on Friday. A judge sentenced Karen Pena to five years probation. This summer she pleaded guilty to child abuse negligently causing death. Her daughter was left unattended outside their apartment last year in Aurora.
