(AP) — Fresh snow is helping crews fighting wildfires in the small southern Colorado town of Wetmore and in Rocky Mountain National Park. Up to three inches fell on the 3-square-mile Wetmore Fire, which was 65 percent contained on Friday. Evacuation orders have been lifted for houses outside the perimeter but remain in place for houses inside the perimeter. It’s not clear how many houses are still evacuated. The fire has destroyed 14 houses and at one point 380 people were evacuated. Officials say the fire is still smoldering in places despite the snow. Up to two inches of snow fell on the 1.6-square-mile Fern Lake Fire in the national park in northern Colorado. That fire also continues to smolder in places.
