GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) – Police caught up with a teen who they say went on a crime spree in Greeley Saturday morning.

It all started just before 4 a.m. Police arrived at the Sears store in the Greeley Mall after reports of a burglary. Then two more businesses — a liquor store and a bank — were also hit before police caught the suspect.

The crime spree left behind a trail of destruction. The suspect drove his vehicle into a bank lobby and out the other said. The bank was one of three businesses the suspect allegedly smashed into before being caught by authorities. He also smashed into a liquor store on 10th Street, according to police. Store employee David Woods said very little was stolen.

“(He) took maybe $10 worth of shooters and maybe a pack of cigarettes or something like that, but nothing crazy,” Woods said.

The suspect has been identified as Robert Eugene Sandoval, 19. He is currently in custody. Police caught up with Sandoval after the stolen vehicle he was driving crashed into a utility pole. He was taken to the hospital with some injuries. He faces numerous felony charges.
